One of the most common breakfasts among athletes and bodybuilders is oatmeal. There are many different health benefits associated with oatmeal, such as a lower risk of heart disease, lower blood sugar, and even weight loss. Oats contain lots of vitamins and minerals too, including iron, zinc, vitamin B1 and B5, magnesium, and phosphorous. When you’re training and trying to grow bigger and stronger, oatmeal gives you energy and keeps you feeling full while you’re at the gym.

But let’s face it – even with all those benefits, oatmeal can get incredibly boring day after day. And unless you add a powerful protein complex to it, such as Challenger Nutrition Whey Protein Powder, oatmeal doesn’t have enough protein to create a complete breakfast for hardworking athletes.

To help make your morning bowl of oats more interesting and packed with power, we created this delicious lemon vanilla oatmeal recipe with protein powder. The tanginess of the lemon tastes great with the smoothness of the vanilla and awakens your taste buds first thing in the morning. In addition to our protein powder, you can also power up your oatmeal with almonds, walnuts, Greek yogurt, nut butters, and milk instead of water. Switch up your morning routine and try something different!
